Amazon Gives Away Essential Game Ahead of Fallout Returns
For those who are subscribed to Amazon Prime and looking forward to the forthcoming second season of Fallout, you'll find a prime opportunity waiting for you: Amazon is offering a fresh lineup of complimentary titles, including Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition.
While not strictly essential to grasping the storyline of the forthcoming dystopian show, gamers might also want to snag the other Fallout game available in this month's Prime Gaming offerings: the equally impressive and equally chaotic Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition. Better yet, subscribers can retain their digital titles permanently with the service, so you can dive in and enjoy at any time.
New Season Details
The latest installment of Fallout, starring Ella Purnell as Lucy MacLean and Walton Goggins as the enigmatic bounty hunter known solely as The Ghoul, arrives on Prime Video on Dec. 17, with the third season confirmed to follow. That leaves plenty of time to jump into Fallout: New Vegas.
Fallout: New Vegas lets you step into famous settings and meet the eclectic characters that have been unveiled in Fallout season 2's trailers and early screenshots.
One of the initial glimpses shown of the newest season shows Walton Goggins' character, pre-Wasteland, arriving at the Lucky 38 Casino and Resort. This is not just a actual place explorable in Fallout: New Vegas — where you can trade and play games, should fortune favor you — but it's the base of one of the most vital characters in the game: Mr. House.
The Character's Importance
Mr. House was glimpsed in the first season, but he has a significant role in the video game as the proprietor of the New Vegas strip. Given that Lucy, Maximus, and the Ghoul are heading to New Vegas in Season 2, it's highly likely that Mr. House will play a part.
